"My earliest memories of a creative journey started as a 4-year-old drawn to movies. I lived close to a movie theater and my grandfather had a big collection of the Disney classics, which he played for me every Sunday after I sneaked into his house and begged him to put one on the VHS player. I am grateful that I have found sound as my way to tell stories."

Andrés holds one EMMY® nomination for Outstanding Sound on The First Wave, directed by Matt Heineman, and one Cinema Eye Of Honors Awards nomination for Best Sound on I Didn't See You There, directed by Reid Davenport. In 2021, Andrés was awarded with an Edward R. Murrow Award under the category of Excellence in Sound for his work on Father Soldier Son. He is currently an active member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE).

He began his career as a sound designer and editor in Colombia, where he started his own sound post-production studio. After moving to the United States, he graduated with a Master of Arts in Sound Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. Since then, Andres has worked on a variety of national and international audiovisual projects streaming on HBO, Netflix, Apple TV, National Geographic, and Showtime, among many more.
