Gigantic Studios is seeking local applicants interested in the post production Sound Engineering & Editing Internship ONLY at this time.

 

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

1. Availability to commit to 2 or 3 business days on location in the studio

2. Strong interest in post-production and the digital media industry

3. Meticulous attention to detail

4. Ability to communicate effectively across departments and personality types

5. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate 

6. Ability to follow direction and take constructive criticism

 

There are three available roles for an internship at Gigantic Studios that you may apply for. You must submit a separate application to each:

1. Sound Engineering & Editing Internship

2. Video Editing & Color Correction Internship

3. Management Internship

A Sound Engineering & Editing Internship with Gigantic Studios will focus on, but is not limited to, assisting with these aspects of post production workflow:

1. Dialogue Editorial

2. Sound Effects Editorial

3. Sound Design

4. Live Recording

5. Rudimentary System Engineering

NOTE: Your experience with and understanding of Digital Audio Workstations will greatly impact your application.

You are required to complete a sound editorial test in Pro Tools to be considered.

A Video Editing & Color Correction Internship with Gigantic Studios will focus on, but is not limited to, assisting with these aspects of post production workflow:

1. Picture Element Ingest and Tracking

2. Picture Conform

3. Picture Editing

4. Color Correction

5. Picture Element Output

6. Rudimentary System Engineering

NOTE: Special attention will be given to Video Editing & Color Correction Internship applicants who have experience with Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro, and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.

Reels are encouraged but not required.

A Management Internship with Gigantic Studios will focus on, but is not limited to, assisting with these aspects of post production workflow:

1. Scheduling and Coordination

2. Management and Supervision of Sound and Picture

3. Specialty Talent & Client Services

NOTE: Special attention will be given to applicants who have experience in the post-production process, but it is not a requirement.
