Nathan Hasz is our resident sound editor and has supervised sound editorial for several projects at Gigantic Studios since his transition to visual media in early 2017. "Working with sound, you can learn something new every day. Over my career I've found that empathy is a really important tool when connecting to the audience. Whether you are working on uplifting stories of triumph, or documentaries that show the sobering realities of the world, you have to connect with your subjects before you can begin to tell a story about them. I think it’s valid to say that the stories from the films themselves have come to define a part of me."
Already in his young career, Nathan has helped craft the sound of over 10 projects selected for Sundance Film Festival since 2018. A multi-talented editor and experienced music producer, having previously worked for Fool’s Gold Records on music editing and digital content management, he is constantly eager to find new techniques and technology to engage with the story being told.
